About Us

 

The company has been in existence since 1988, formed originally by Noel McCann and shortly after partnered by Vic Feary, to originally offer a local service.  This developed into a country wide service for the widening of mini excavator and manufacturing specialist parts for agricultural equipment.  Noel sadly departed from this world in July 1998 and will be missed by his family and friends in Lemac.  The company has grown considerably and we now have over 75 people employed.  The UK side employs 50+.

 

We have over twenty years experience in manufacturing, sales and service in the construction industry both in the UK and Europe.  The company is ISO 9001:2000 registered and our certification number is 2036.

 

Lemac Engineering has its own manufacturing plant in Scotland with UK wide sales and service.

 

The manufacturing plant is 25,000 square foot and contained 1.25 acre site (controlled by James Travers).  We also have a sister company in the USA, Lemac Corporation (controlled by Frank Coleman) and the details are contained in the Contact Us section.  This plant is 30,000 square foot and contained on a 10 acre site.

 

Our main line of production is the manufacture of Excavator, Backhoe, Mini & Loader buckets from 1 ton to 100 ton size machine.  Hydraulic and manual quick hitch systems for excavator, backhoes, minis and loaders.  Attachments include 4 in 1 buckets, a range of grapples, concrete crushers, tilting buckets, specialist rail lifting and placing tools and agricultural equipment.  We also carry a large stock of ground engaging and wear part systems.

 

We have our own service engineers and design department with the latest CAD systems and can, in conjunction with our customers, offer a service to manufacture specialist attachments and buckets to their specific design.

 

Our customer base is mainly OEM’s and dealers such as Case Intl, Komatsu Europe, Marubeni Komatsu, HM Plant (Hitachi importer), Terex UK (O&K & Hyundai, Atlas), Molson (Kobelco), CRMS (Case), Savilles (Case) along with many more.
